Post polio syndrome

Dr Bhargava is a physiatrist (Physical medicine & Rehabilitation) specilaized in spine and sports medicine with a focus on musculoskeletal medicine.

Dr Bhargava practiced Orthopedic surgery in India was involved in treating polio, which included limb lengthening, reconstruction and tendon transfers.

A thorough clinical evaluation is done followed by nerve conduction studies, EMG. The muscles and nerves may also be evaluated with ultrasound.

We work with physical therapist who may focus on particular strengthening exercises.
