Consider the body like a water tank with one inlet and one outlet. The inlet is for the energy coming in the water tank in the form of the food we eat (choosemyplate.gov). Outlet is the energy used by the body for daily activities and exercise.

If the energy coming in the inlet in the form of food is more than energy going out from the outlet, all that extra food (energy)will store in the body.

If we eat one extra fried drumstick per day, that would be 30 fried drumsticks in the body in a month.

To reduce your weight

Consult your dietitian or physician regarding your diet.

It is all about how much you eat and what you eat.

Have a weighing machine at home.

Weight your self weekly.

This is to measure any gain in weight and so the diet and exercises can be modified again.

Everyone works. Unless you are doing something like cutting trees with axes, digging holes with your hands, you are not exercising at work

Keep separate time for exercise. Walking your pet is exercise for your pet and not for you.

There are three kinds of exercises.

  1. Aerobic exercises: Running, swimming, or cycling
  2. Stretching , e.g. Yoga
  3. Weight lifting to strengthen the muscles.
